You are getting leads. Your phone is not ringing. Before you blame the ads, look at what happens after someone fills out the form. In my experience that is where most of the return quietly leaks out.
1. Slow follow-up
Someone fills out a form on their phone, between other things. If nobody reaches out for hours or days, they have moved on. The fix is a fast first touch. In the systems I build, a text goes out within minutes, and a person takes over from there.
2. The form promised one thing and the call delivered another
If the ad says "free consultation" and the first call sounds like a sales pitch, people drop off. The message in the ad, the form, and the first call should all say the same thing.
3. The offer attracts curious people, not people in pain
A very easy, very broad offer will fill your lead list with people who were never going to come in. It is better to be a little more specific about who the offer is for. Fewer leads, more patients.
4. Nobody is tracking what happens to a lead
If you do not know how many leads booked, how many showed, and how many became patients, you cannot see which step is broken. Start with a simple count each week at the front desk.
A simple weekly check
- How many new leads came in?
- How many got a reply the same day?
- How many booked? How many showed?
Whichever number drops the most from the one before is where to start.
Why this matters
This is the thing I fixed first at my dad's practice, Dr. Chris Hansen's Hansen Chiropractic. Two of the first things we worked on were making the offer clear and making sure leads did not go cold. Results depend on the practice, the market, and the budget.
Quick answers
Why do my Facebook leads never answer the phone?
Often the lead came from a quick form fill and forgot, or the follow-up came too late. Fast, friendly outreach by text usually helps more than a single phone call.
How fast should I follow up with a new lead?
As fast as you can. Minutes beat hours. An automated first text that goes out right away, followed by a real person, is a common setup.
Should I stop the ads if leads are not booking?
Not before checking follow-up, the offer, and what the form promised. Stopping the ads fixes nothing if the problem is after the click.
